DataQuest SQL Reporting Library

The DataQuest SQL Reporting Library is a list of custom SQL views that make it easier for you to build reports against Sage 300 and Sage CRM data. With a subscription to the SQL Reporting Library, you’ll be able to take advantage of 20+ years of accumulated reporting expertise all within a single database.

There are many advantages to using the DataQuest SQL Reporting library. One advantage in particular is the ability to build your own reports, and immediately view your data in a way that makes sense.

One sample, demonstrated here, is viewing your data within an Info-Explorer Cube

DataQuest Solutions has designed SQL views that take your data from various locations to present it in a centralized report.

By using one or many views from the SQL Reporting library, you can rearrange your data by simply dragging and dropping different fields within the Info Explorer cube to get different results.

This empowers users to customize their own reports to fit their own needs.

Arline’s Intro to SQL Views and Info-Explorer Cubes

In this video, you will see Arline demonstrating how simple it is to work with the DataQuest SQL Reporting library views within an Info-Explorer Cube. In addition to customizing how you view your data, the data is interactive.

Why use the SQL Reporting Library?

The SQL Reporting Library is composed of a custom set of SQL views that are intellectual property of DataQuest. They help people with SQL experience easily navigate the Sage 300 data. On its own, the Sage 300 database tables can be difficult to navigate. But with the SQL reporting library, reporting against the Sage 300 data becomes more straightforward. This allows clients to develop and modify more reports in-house.

Using the DataQuest SQL views is easier than writing your own and eliminates the learning curve of becoming familiar with the Sage 30 database. This makes it easier for a technical user to write and/or join SQL views. And the naming conventions and standards for database columns makes the final reports more legible to the person using the report.

In the second half of the video, Arline goes through a few examples of the SQL views that DataQuest offers. We have a number of views available and are continuously creating new views to share.

DataQuest offers a subscription package for these views. Subscribers receive monthly or quarterly updates to their SQL Library, so your data will always be at your fingertips. Imagine all that access and flexibility for your data. Contact us today to discuss how SQL views and Info-Explorer Cubes can work for you!
